Floods damage Kajauli water works, water supply to Chandigarh interrupted
CHANDIGARH: The flood waters have damaged the Kajauli water works in Rupnagar district from where drinoing water is supplied to Chandigarh and Mohali. As a result the water supply to Chandigarh and Mohali has been interrupted.

Chandigarh MC Commissioner Anandita Mitra in a statement said that there would be no water supply in Chandigarh on evening of July 10, Monday. She said that low presseure water will be supplied from 4 AM to 9 AM. She asked the residents not to saste drinking water and store for proper use. There will be no water supply in the evening hours. She requested people to cooperate with MC to handle the crisis.
