CHANDIGARH: All India Power Engineers Federation (AIPEF) has urged the Lt. Governor of Jammu and Kashmir to look into the matter of
suspension and victimisation of senior engineers and technical staff of Power Development Department (PDD) to avoid the confrontation between
employees and management.
V K Gupta Spokesperson AIPef said that the PDD management has suspended these officials on account of feeder losses, grid disturbances, and not attending to public grievances. The engineers and employees have given a work boycott call from July 30 against arbitrary suspensions and attachments.
PDD engineers have been putting their best efforts to maintain the supply amid a shortage of men and material.
AIPEF demands immediate vacation of suspensions and victimisation of PDD engineers to avoid confrontation between employees and management.
The peak power season is only halfway through and the general public should not be made to suffer due to management's attitude.
