140 people administer doses of COVID-19 in a vaccination campaign in Sector 29

CHANDIGARH:A total of 140 people were given dose of COVID -19 which included 58 men
and 82 women in Sector 29 on Saturday under vaccination campaign initiated by the Ward
20 councillor Shakti Prakash Devshali.
BJP Mandal President Satbir Singh Thakur and Mandal team including Vikas Gugnani,
Mukesh Chanalia, Gaurav Thakur, Paramjit Singh, Navneet, Ravi Yadav, Kuljinder Sood,
Sukhwinder Singh, Sonu, Harbans, Firoz Khan and Avinash were involved to motivate people
for vaccination.  Nursing officers Ajit and Chandan vaccinated the people on this occasion.
Mr Devshali informed that second dose to two front line workers, first dose to 90
youths in the age group of 18 to 44 years, 23 people aged 45 to 60 years were given first
dose whereas seven people were given second dose, 10 people above 60 years were given
first dose and 8 people were given second dose. 
 An elderly woman who was not able to come out of the house was vaccinated by
the medical staff at her home. Apart from this, a pregnant woman was also among those
who got the vaccine.
Councillor Shakti Prakash Devshali said that it was the request of some local elders
that vaccination facilities should be made available here for those who cannot go away from
their homes, that is why with the help of BJP Pharmaceutical Cell convenor Prince Bhandula
organized this campaign today. 
Mandal President Satbir Singh Thakur thanked the vaccination in-charge Dr. Manjit
Singh, the medical staff from Sector 16 and all the workers who helped in making this
vaccination campaign a success.
