AMRITSAR: Zonal Youth Festival of the Guru Nanak Dev University for ‘D’ Zone (Nawanshahr, Kapurthala and Phagwara) concluded in Dasmesh Auditorium of the University. Sikh National College Banga and Hindu Kanya College Kapurthala won the overall championship of ‘A’ and ‘B’ divisions respectively of this ‘D’ Zone youth festival.
In ‘B’ division, Guru Nanak Khalsa College Sultanpur Lodhi secured the second position and Kamla Nehru College for Women Phagwara was adjudged the third best team.
Prof. Dr. Anish Dua, Dean Students Welfare gave away the trophies to winning teams.
On this occasion, Dr Dua congratulated all the winners and participating teams. A big team of student volunteers, and teacher-mentors from the University campus are driving these festivals forward and have the patronage of Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr Jaspal Singh Sandhu. Competition for theatre events, fine arts and literary events were held on the concluding day.
