MOHALI: The International Collaborations Department and the University School of Pharmaceutical Sciences of the Rayat Bahra University organized a webinar on Chevening Scholarship 2022-23 in the UK.
The keynote speaker was Amit Rao from Political Press & Project Advisor, British Deputy High Commission. The webinar was attended by over 250 alumni members of Rayat Bahra University. Amit Rao explained the procedure of UK scholarships in various courses for higher study. He informed that alumni of the RBU, after two-year experience, have a chance to get higher study scholarships in the UK.
Chevening Scholarships 2022-23 is an initiative for Indian students who wish to pursue a one-year master’s degree in any subject at any UK university. This scholarship programme is offered by the UK Government which offers future leaders the unique opportunity to study in the UK on fully-funded scholarships.
Amit Rao explained that the following benefits will be included as part of the Chevening Scholarship: University tuition fees; a monthly stipend; travel costs to and from the UK; an arrival allowance; a homeward departure allowance; the cost of one visa application; and a travel grant to attend Chevening events in the UK
The seminar was conducted via Zoom and streamed live on YouTube. This was organized under the guidance of Chancellor Gurvinder Singh Bahra and Vice-Chancellor Prof Parvinder Singh and supported by Vice-Presidents Sahila Bahra and Gurinder Singh Bahra.
