LUDHIANA:Dr. Inderjeet Singh, Vice-Chancellor, Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana released the maiden edition of the Account Code of University. The Account Code incorporating various amendments to the existing procedures and integrating new Chapters and new/ amended section(s) would lead to the augmentation of work efficiency of the University employees.
As GADVASU was carved out by bifurcation of the erstwhile College of Veterinary Science of Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana, consequently the University was following the procedures and proforma(s) prescribed in the Account Code of PAU since its inception. Over the period various procedures and practices have evolved and transformed. Hence, it was imperative for GADVASU to have its own Account Code. Dr. Inderjeet Singh congratulated Dr. Harmanjit Singh Banga, Registrar, Dr. Nirmal Singh, Mr. Devinder Kumar, Mr. Pardeep Kumar and Mr. Munish Kumar Pandey associated with compilation of the Account Code for doing a commendable job of compilation of exhaustive Account Code, encompassing the procedures and proforma(s) for accounting of processes, financial activities and belongings/estate of the University. Dr. Singh said that the Account Code would serve as a ready reckoner for all the employees of the University and affiliated colleges, enriching their work efficiency and facilitating smooth functioning of official accomplishment(s) for the overall ascendancy of the University.
