Taipei varsity scholarship for RBU student

MOHALI: University School of Pharmaceutical Sciences B Pharmacy student of the Rayat Bahra University (batch 2016-2020) has brought laurels to the institution as he has been selected Taiwan’s scholarship worth more than Rs 25 lakh for the Master’s programme.

Mandeep Rana has been selected for the scholarship for Master’s degree course in Drug Discovery and Development at School of Pharmacy, Taipei Medical University, which is known worldwide for its excellent research in the field of cancer, neurological diseases and lifestyle disorders.

The School of Pharmacy ranks in the top 100 world’s best pharmacy institutes according to QS World Ranking. Today, TMU School of Pharmacy is a strong presence of model pharmacy education. The school provides pharmacy students with comprehensive education, clinical training and research opportunities.

This scholarship includes full fee waiver along with monthly stipend besides medical and travel insurance.

Mandeep went through three rounds of selection procedure to attain this scholarship. Under the guidance of his mentor/guide Dr. Gurfateh Singh, Head, USPS, he was focused towards his goals from the day one owing to which he has achieved many awards at scientific conferences, presented posters and oral presentations at national and international conferences, and published three articles in international journals.

Gurvinder Singh Bahra, Chancellor of the Rayat Bahra University, and Vice-Chancellor Dr. Parvinder Singh have congratulated Rana and his teachers and wished him a bright future.
