MOHALI: The Rayat Bahra Dental College and Hospital celebrated the White Coat Ceremony for its 2022 BDS Batch. The Chief guest and resource person for anti-ragging intervention was Dr Puneet Girdhar, Joint Director, Medical Education and Research, Punjab.
Dr Girdhar speaking on the occasion said that the
white coat ceremony is a ritual in medical colleges and other health-related fields that marks the student's transition from the study of preclinical to clinical health sciences.
Dr SS Gill, Dean, Medical Sciences of the Rayat Bahra University, and faculty members were present on the occasion.
All the students took the Hippocratic oath before being honoured with their white coats by Dr Vimal Kalia, Principal of the Rayat Bahra Dental College and Hospital (RBDCH) and the chief guest.
Dr Parvinder Singh, Vice-Chancellor of the RBU, said this ceremony is a tradition followed in all dental colleges in the country and it is a stepping stone towards the journey of five years the students have set upon.
