PYDB distributes 20 sports kits to Khalsa College, honors doctors and nurses for excellent services during Covid-19

AMRITSAR: Sports are very important for a person and students should use their energy in sports only then they can stay physically and mentally healthy.
These words were uttered by Mr. Sukhwinder Singh Bindra Chairman Punjab Youth Development Board after distributing 20 sports kits to the students at Khalsa College to encourage them towards sports.
Mr. Bindra said that Khalsa College has been encouraging the students towards sports from the very beginning and many students of this college have made the name of the college and the country famous internationally through their sports and many athletes have reached the Olympic Games. Mr. Bindra said that the main objective of Punjab Youth Development Board was to encourage the youth towards sports so that they could get rid of the bad symptoms like drugs and contribute towards sports. The Chairman said that the Punjab Government was making special efforts to provide employment to the youth besides sports and under this series District Employment Business Bureaus have been set up in every district where the students could access and apply for the job of their choice.

He said that in the Employment Business Bureau the big companies themselves select the youth for the job and the youth do not have to wander around for the job.
Responding to questions from the students at Khalsa College, Mr. Bindra said that he would talk to the government to give due respect to any player who gets injured during the Games.
He further said that Punjab government was giving jobs as well as cash prizes to the medal winning athletes. He said that quota of players was fixed in every government department.
Mr. Bindra was also felicitated by the Principal of Khalsa College on the occasion.
After this Mr. Bindra visited IVY Hospital and Fortis Escort Hospital and awarded certificates to the doctors, nurses and staff who rendered excellent services during COVID-19. "Thanks to them, we have been able to fight a war like the Corona epidemic, " he said.
He said that despite serving his life, he served the Corona patients and he saluted these cowardly warriors.
Mr. Bindra said that our government is fully prepared to deal with the third wave of Corona but God forbid the third wave does not come.
Mr. Bindra appealed to the people to get vaccinated against covid vaccine only then they can avoid this dreadful disease.
On this occasion Principal of Khalsa College Dr. Mahil Singh, Registrar Mr. Davinder Singh, Deputy Registrar Dr. Deepak Devgan, Head of Hindi Department Dr. Surjit Kaur, Director IVY Hospital Mrs. Vijay Lakshmi Dr. Dheeraj, Dr. Rai Prakash , Mr. Nitin Kumar Special Member Complaints were also present.
