MOHALI: To spread a message about the Importance of science in the daily life of the people, National Science day was celebrated a day prior on this year's theme “Integrated Approach in Science and Technology for a Sustainable Future”. Various activities were organised including Quiz and speech Competition, Poster Presentation for students of B. Sc. Nursing, GNM & ANM by Aryans Institute of Nursing, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh.
In various competitions, Rimo Rallen and Kritika Kanojia got first position, Khushi got second position and Sameer and Nawab got third position in poster making. In the quiz competition four teams participated in which Kevin, kritika, karamveer, Simran from Team B got first position and Ashish, Aanchal, Sameer and Shibu Kumar from team C got second position. In the declamation competition, Abhishek kumar got first position and Aman Afzal got second position.
It is to be mentioned that National Science Day is celebrated all over the country on 28th February in order to remember the invention of Raman Effect by Indian Physicist Sir C V Raman for which he earned the Nobel Prize.
