AMRITSAR: Khalsa College of Engineering and Technology (KCET), Ranjit Avenue, Amritsar has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Central Institute of Petrochemicals and Technology (CIPET), to foster collaborative skill enhancement of the students in the domain of mechanical engineering and allied fields.
MoU was signed by Dr. Manju Bala (Director, KCET) and Parminder Preet Singh (Joint Director and Head, CIPET). Dr. Manju Bala articulated the numerous benefits emanating from this MoU during the signing ceremony. Emphasizing the importance of skill development in areas such as mechanical engineering, plastics, polymers and material science, Dr. Bala highlighted the pivotal role this partnership would play in advancing technological innovations. She said that students of College will get to have hands on experience under this MoU which will make them industry ready. She informed that this MoU also encompasses provisions for industry collaboration, providing students and researchers with exposure to real-world challenges and opportunities. Furthermore, regular conferences and symposiums will be organized to facilitate knowledge dissemination and networking within the academic and industrial community.
Parminder Preet Singh said that this partnership will facilitate joint initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency, sustainability, and innovation in the various industrial sectors. He said that this MoU encapsulates a multifaceted approach towards collaborative projects, industry engagement, and knowledge exchange through conferences, software exchange programs, and leveraging library facilities. The exchange of software tools and technologies between KCET and CIPET will facilitate collaborative research and streamline project development processes. He also openly invited the students of Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering for the hands on training in CNC and CAD/CAM which will enhances their skills and makes them industry ready.
