Induction programme by RBU Communicators Club

MOHALI: The Young Communicators Club (YCC) of Rayat Bahra University organised an induction cum orientation programme for the newly inducted team of the YCC. The online event witnessed the presence of stalwarts from Public Relations Council of India (PRCI) and the communication industry.

Renuka Salwan, North Regional Head of the Public Relations Council of India, said that PRCI has been actively pursuing the spread and popularity of communication and Public Relations in India. PRCI has its global presence under the aegis of the World Communication Council.

She said the PRCI today has emerged as one of the foremost platforms for PR and Communication professionals for global exchange of ideas in areas of public relations, corporate communication, advertising, brand management and academics.

CJ Singh, National Vice-President, Public Relations Council of India, interacted with the students. He stressed that being able to communicate effectively is one of the most important skills to learn. To start with, 25 students have been inducted. The YCC will expand it to sister concerns (Bahra University Shimla and Rayat Bahra Campus Hoshiarpur) and other neighbouring institutions too gradually. The team includes Aashita Kanav as President YCC Rayat Bahra University, Baljinder Kaur as Vice-President, Rhythem Mahajan as Secretary and Arshpreet Singh as Joint Secretary of the YCCRBU.

Dr Parvinder Singh, Vice-Chancellor, said that communication is an essential tool in achieving productivity and maintaining strong working relationships within the working world.

Chinmayee Praveen, National Chairperson of PRCI Young Communicators Club and Vivek Atray, Chairman of the Chandigarh Chapter of Public Relations Council of India, sent their wishes to Rayat Bahra University and congratulated the young YCC team.

The event was coordinated by faculty coordinator YCCRBU Anshu Gauba, Head of Department of Management, under the guidance of Dr Avikshit, Dean of the University School of Management Studies.
