AMRITSAR: On the demise of legendary actor and doyen of Indian film industry, Dalip Kumar, Guru Nanak Dev University paid tribute to the departed Soul. . Dalip Kumar was honored with the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Honoris Causa) in recognition to and as an appreciation of his contribution in his field during 23rd Annual Convocation of the Guru Nanak Dev University, held on 3rd May, 1997.
Prof. Dr. Jaspal Singh Sandhu, Vice-Chancellor in his condolence message said that the ace actor will always be in the memories of all due to his contribution to the Indian Cinema.
He gave the new trends to Indian film industry and
set a path for the newcomers. Prof. Hardip Singh, Dean Academic Affairs, Prof. K.S. Kahlon, Registrar and Dr. Sukhprit Singh, Head Journalism & Mass Communication, staff alongwith students also condole the demise of Sh. Dalip Kumar. Few photographs with Sh.
