MOHALI: The 75th Independence Day was celebrated with enthusiasm and gaiety at Rayat Bahra University near here.
Gurvinder Singh Bahra, Chancellor of the Rayat Bahra University, unfurled the National Flag. He gave a clarion call to the staff and students of the RBU to help the state government in its battle against the Covid-19 pandemic. on the occasion Vice-Chancellor of the University Prof. Dr. Parvinder Singh was also accompanying him.
Speaking on the occasion, Bahra paid rich tributes to the freedom fighters who made supreme sacrifices for the freedom of the country and paid tributes to the martyred soldiers who lost their lives while protecting the borders.
Prof. Dr. Parvinder Singh underlined the need to provide the right education to the students who were the future of the country. Freedom Fighters were remembered on this occasion. Patriotic fevour marked the occasion even as a brief variety programme was also presented.
The Chancellor of the Rayat Bahra University felicitated its employees.
Senior functionaries of the Rayat Bahra Group of Institutions were present on the occasion.
