MOHALI: Rayat and Bahra University School of Law here today organised an expert talk on ‘The relationship between law and psychology: A study of interdisciplinarity in research’ by Seema Gupta, Rehab psychologist and mental health counsellor from the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI).
Seema Gupta explained that law and psychology are two separate disciplines but have much in common. While the goal of psychology is to understand behaviour, the goal of law is to regulate it.
Chancellor of the Rayat Bahra University Gurvinder Singh Bahra and Vice-Chancellor Dr Parvinder Singh lauded the initiative of the School of Law in organising the expert talk. Dean school of law Dr Richa Ranjan accorded an affectionate welcome to the expert speaker and said psychology can help in decision making.
Dean of Student Welfare Dr Simerjit kaur proposed a vote of thanks. She said that students should give time to themselves so that their perception should be clear.
