NEW DELHI: While the final report will take about an year, the preliminary findings by the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) into the fatal crash of Air India flight AI 171 — a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner that went down shortly after take-off from Ahmedabad on June 12 — has revealed simultaneous engine shutdown, cockpit voice recordings between the two pilots and further safety advisories.
According to the AAIB report, the aircraft was scheduled to operate flight AI171 from Ahmedabad to London-Gatwick.
