Number of recoveries exceeds new cases in K'taka

BENGALURU : The number of recovered Covid-19 patients exceeded the tally of new cases in Karnataka for the first time on Monday, health officials said.
The state registered 4,267 new cases in the last 24 hours, while 5,218 recovered persons were discharged from different hospitals in the same time period, said Health Commissioner Pankaj Kumar Pandey.

38 fresh cases in Agra as B.Ed examinees flout Covid norms

AGRA:As India's Covid tally breached the 22-lakh mark on Monday, Agra reported a surge of 38 new cases in the last 24 hours, taking its tally to 2,103.
This was after 20,000 students trooped to the district on Sunday to appear for the B.Ed entrance examination at 42 centres set up by the Agra University. After March 17, this was the first examination conducted by the university. Along with locals, a large number of students from neighbouring districts and Rajasthan, appeared for the examinations.
