Punjab CM mourns passing away of business tycoon YC Deveshwar Chairman of ITC

CHANDIGARH: Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has deeply mourned the sad demise of country’s one of the leading businessmen and Chairman of ITC YC Deveshwar, who breathed his last on Saturday.

Describing Deveshwar as a great son of the soil, the Chief Minister said he has transformed ITC into renowned business conglomerates of the world besides setting up new milestones in the fields of consumer goods business, hotels, paper & packaging and Agri-business. Captain Amarinder highly appreciated Deveshwar’s personally initiatives for setting up an integrated food park at Rs 1500 crore in Kapurthala to give major boost to the state’s Agri-Industry. He said that with the passing away of Y C Deveshwar the nation had lost a progressive entrepreneur and iconic business personality and a void had been created in the business fraternity, which was difficult to be filled.

Sharing his heartfelt sympathies with the bereaved family, relatives and friends, the Chief Minister prayed to the Almighty to grant courage to them to bear this irreparable loss and peace to the departed soul.
