US Prez honoured as Florida renames major Palm Beach road as Donald J. Trump Boulevard
WASHINGTON: President Donald Trump on Friday hailed the renaming of a major Palm Beach roadway in his honour as a moment of deep personal significance, as Florida officials formally dedicated President Donald J. Trump Boulevard during a ceremony attended by state and local leaders.
The newly-named boulevard, formerly Southern Boulevard, serves as the main route connecting Palm Beach International Airport to Mar-a-Lago, Trump’s private club and residence. The change followed legislation approved by the Florida Legislature and multiple local governments.
“President Donald J. Trump Boulevard now stands as a permanent reminder of courage, leadership, and unapologetic patriotism,” said Florida State Representative Meg Weinberger, who sponsored the Bill.
