Those who committed ‘Chanda-Chori' at Shri Ram Mandir & played with faith of crores of Hindus must receive harshest possible punishment: Arvind Kejriwal
Arvind Kejriwal launches campaign by signing letter, on behalf of Ram bhakts, to be sent to Prime Minister
NEW DELHI: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Sunday launched a nationwide signature campaign alongside a Sundarkand recital and Hanuman Ji's aarti, demanding hanging for those accused of ‘Chanda-Chori' (theft of offerings) from Prabhu Shri Ram's mandir. At the event held at Japanese Park in Rohini Sector 10, Delhi, a large gathering of Ram bhakts took an oath to continue the campaign for justice.
The campaign began with AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal signing a letter addressed to the Prime Minister on behalf of Ram bhakts, followed by signatures from devotees present at the event. Before launching the signature campaign, Arvind Kejriwal and his wife, Sunita Kejriwal, recited the Hanuman Chalisa together. The AAP Supremo also urged Ram bhakts across the country to organise Hanuman Chalisa recitals, perform Hanuman Ji’s aarti in their localities, and collect signatures on the letter, saying the movement should continue until the accused are hanged. During this, senior AAP leader Punjab Prabhari Manish Sisodia and AAP Delhi State President Saurabh Bharadwaj, and other senior leaders were present.
AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal took to 'X' and wrote, “Today, bhakts of Bhagwan Ram across the world are in deep anguish. We recited the Sundarkand today to pledge that we will not rest until those who committed the dacoity at the home of our revered Prabhu Shri Ram are brought to justice and hanged. With this very objective, we are issuing a letter addressed to the Prime Minister today. I appeal to people across the country to organise recitations of the Hanuman Chalisa, invite others, and gather signatures on this letter. This is our duty.”
He said, “Today, we bhakts of Bhagwan Ram have resolved that we will not rest until the heinous sinners who committed the ‘Chanda-Chori' at the Shri Ram Mandir are hanged. This is Bhagwan Ram's command and our sacred duty.”
Addressing a gathering of Ram Bhakts, Arvind Kejriwal stated, "A ‘dacoity’ has taken place in the Shri Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. It has deeply hurt Ram bhakts across the world. They left nothing untouched. Land scams were carried out. Cheap land was purchased at inflated prices. The money that lakhs and crores of 'bhakts' had donated in the name of Bhagwan was stolen. While the Ram Mandir was being built, commissions were involved on a massive scale. Even the offerings made by 'bhakts' were not spared."
Referring to the ‘Chanda-Chori’, the AAP Supremo asserted, "Within 40 days, 70 incidents of theft were captured on CCTV. Then eight months of CCTV recordings were deleted. We all kept demanding action. We believed that those at the top would do something. But now it has become clear that they will do nothing because people from their own party, their own organisation and all their affiliated organisations are involved in this. The entire system is engaged in protecting ‘Chanda-Chors.’"
Highlighting the sentiments of 'bhakts', Arvind Kejriwal stated, "That is why all Ram bhakts are deeply pained. Today, we have recited the Sundarkand. Every bhakt must now take an oath that we will not rest until those who committed dacoity in the house of Prabhu Shri Ramchandra Ji are hanged."
The AAP Chief emphasised, "It's not me who's saying this. This is the command of Shri Ramchandra Ji. Those who committed this robbery, those who stole from Bhagwan's house, have committed a mahapaap. Those who carried out this theft do not consider Prabhu Ram to be Bhagwan. If they truly believed Ram was Bhagwan, they would never have dared to steal from Bhagwan's house. They would have feared that Bhagwan would never forgive them. They do not believe Ram is Bhagwan. They only want votes in Ram's name. They loot the country in Ram's name. They loot the people in Ram's name. They loot the government in Ram's name. But they do not consider Ram to be Bhagwan."
Calling upon 'bhakts', he added, "Every Ram bhakt should take a pledge from today that those who dared to commit robbery in Bhagwan Ram's house must be hanged.”
Arvind Kejriwal further said, "After signing this letter, everyone must take the responsibility of inviting people from their locality, home, neighbourhood, mandir, mohalla and housing society, or by booking a hall if needed. Everyone should gather to collectively recite the Hanuman Chalisa, perform Hanuman Ji's aarti, and then this letter should be read out to all those present. Every Ram bhakt must be asked to sign the letter. Even if you can invite 25 to 30 people to your home, or gather 300 to 400 people at a mandir or in a hall, organise a Hanuman Chalisa recital and Hanuman Ji's aarti there, and then get everyone to sign this letter.”
Meanwhile, senior AAP leader and former Deputy CM Manish Sisodia stated, “Today, we recited the sacred Sundarkand in Delhi and prayed to Hanuman Ji Maharaj that those sinners who robbed the Ram Mandir and played with the faith of crores of Hindus receive the harshest possible punishment, so that no one ever dares to commit such a mahapaap again."
Addressing the Prime Minister, Manish Sisodia added, "PM Modi, you describe yourself as a bhakt of Prabhu Shri Ram. If your faith is genuine, then bring the truth before the people. Do not protect the guilty. Ensure that they are punished. With this resolve, our signature campaign is beginning across the country today. We hope that the truth will come to light, accountability will be fixed, and justice will be delivered.”
