Rayat Bahra University hosts 7th International Students Convocation
MOHALI: Rayat Bahra University celebrated the academic achievements of its overseas students by organising its 7th International Students Convocation with great enthusiasm and academic distinction. The ceremony reflected the university's commitment to imparting quality education while fostering a globally inclusive and culturally diverse learning environment.
The programme commenced with the traditional academic procession led by the university dignitaries. The convocation was attended by Chancellor Gurvinder Singh Bahra, Vice-Chairman Gurinder Singh Bahra, Vice President Jessika Duggal Bahra, Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Sanjay Kumar, Registrar Prof. (Dr.) Navneet Kumar Yadav, Dean Students' Welfare Prof. (Dr.) Simerjit Kaur, Controller of Examinations Er. Abhinav Tripathi, faculty members, university officials, international students and invited guests.
Welcoming the gathering, Prof. (Dr.) Simerjit Kaur, Dean Students' Welfare, congratulated the graduating students and described the occasion as a milestone in their academic journey. During the ceremony, several online international students shared their experiences at the university and expressed gratitude for the academic support, multicultural environment and lifelong bond they had developed with their alma mater.
Conferring degrees upon the graduates, Chancellor Gurvinder Singh Bahra, who was the chief guest, congratulated the students on their successful completion of their academic programmes. He said the university strives not only for academic excellence but also for nurturing socially responsible, emotionally resilient and globally competent individuals capable of making meaningful contributions to society.
Addressing the gathering as the guest of honour, Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Sanjay Kumar said the presence of students from different countries had enriched the university campus by promoting cultural harmony, mutual respect and global understanding. Vice-Chairman Gurinder Singh Bahra and Vice President Jessika Duggal Bahra also extended their heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the graduating students for a successful future.
Adding a special touch to the ceremony, the International African Students Association presented tokens of appreciation to the Chancellor and other dignitaries in recognition of the university's continued support and commitment towards international students. Er. Abhinav Tripathi, Controller of Examinations, also congratulated the graduates and wished them success in their future academic and professional endeavours.
