Javed Khan conducts training for Indiana Sheriff's officials at ISA Avon

INDIANAPOLIS: The Khan Do Kwan Police Control Tactics (KPCT) and the Indiana Sheriff's Association (ISA) jointly conducted one-day training at ISA office in Avon on Friday. Grandmaster Javed Khan imparted training to 27 members from eight Sheriff's offices from around Indiana. He provided important tips and skills which will help the officials in discharging their duties more efficiently.

Addressing the trainees, ISA Executive Director Stephen Luce said "IAS's Mission here is to provide training and education and foster professionalism . Mental health is impart training and education . You should respect the job you do."

The ISA is acting as a coordinating, educational and service organization for the 92 county Sheriff’s departments to promote and improve the delivery of county Sheriffs’ services.

Stephen Luce said that the "KPCT Instructor Certifications program will be conducted in July."
The ISA Executive Director praised Grandmaster Javed Khan . "Javed is a better trainer. Javed Khan originally hails from Mumbai (Maharashtra).

Today's training modules began with light warm-up exercises.. The first session was devoted to Falls and Recovery. Grandmaster Javed explained the fine skills of low stance, kicks and slide back, slide roll-1, slide rolle-2 (in a corner) and drills. The trainees were divided into small groups and practised the instructions into action. These were done in repetitions.

Javed Khan, a resident of 2948 Carson Dr, Indianapolis, emphasised on to 'win without a fight.
The next topic of the training program was "Practical usage of Pressure Points (leg takeaway, Tibial, common peroneal and Femoral usage on ground, Drill against attack --collar grab radial strike to brachial plexus origin strike into takedown.

After the lunch break training lesson was on Single and multiple Officer Control and Takedown, Escort position-1, Escort position-2 (pin single and two officers), Escort position-3 arm hug, rear ambush control, Escort position- (two deputy arm to leg -- high and low.

The Indian born Grandmaster Javed Khan has been included in the Hall of Fame for the World's Greatest Martial Artists 33rd Edition.

Javed is also known as the "Father of Indian Kickboxing." The Grandmaster provides instructions in Taekwondo, Khan Do Kwan, Muay Thai, Kickboxing, WARDA Women Against Rape & Domestic Abuse and Khan Do Kwan Law Enforcement Combatives.

He has earned an 8th Degree Black belt in Taekwondo.aiml.
