Two killed in paragliding fall in Bir Billing

DHARAMSALA: Two persons were killed and another injured during a fall of paragliding take off at Bir Billing in Kangra district of HP on Tuesday.
S P Kangra Dr K Sharma while confirming the accident said,

"Today at about 4:30 PM, one Sh Akash Aggarwal s/o Sh Ganesh Chand Aggarwal r/o 7075 HB Tower 5 block E/2 GH 7 crossing Gaziabad 31 years took tandem paragliding flight with pilot Vikas Kapoor r/o Bir. While taking off flight the glider was being pushed by Sh Rakesh Kumar and Sh Shiv Kumar r/o Bir. During pushing, the rope of paraglider got entangled with Rakesh Kumar (helper) and the glider got dis-balanced due to which Sh Akash Aggarwal and Rakesh Kumar both fell down from 25-30 feet height and resultantly died. The Pilot also got injuries and has been shifted to TMC for treatment."
SP futher said that the police is checking the footage of the video camera attached to the paraglider for futher investigation.
Police said that the families of deceased have been informed and a criminal case is being registered. The log book of the pilot is also being checked for his flying experience.
