KAITHAL: Haryana Saraswati Heritage Development Board Vice Chairman Dhuman Singh Kirmach said that Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose had also done penance on the banks of Saraswati river. There is a plan by Saraswati Board to build a very beautiful ghat at this place. All the holy places located on the banks of Saraswati are being renovated. Similarly, renovation work will be done in Southa village also.
Dhuman Singh was speaking while visiting the ghat near Saraswati in Kirmach village Sautha. The villagers demanded renovation of this temple and ghat situated on the banks of river Saraswati. On which he gave necessary directions to the concerned officials. He said that the people here believe that village Sautha is where Subhash Chandra Bose himself was hiding in the guise of a saint for a long time and did penance in his last moments for the country. The importance of this place increases further considering the manner in which the leaders whose last moments remained a mystery. On this occasion, the villagers gave detailed information to the Vice President that a Sadhvi has been living in the ashram at this holy place since childhood. Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose stayed here in this ashram in disguise on the banks of Saraswati for at least six-seven years.
Vice President Dhuman Singh Kirmach said that just as in all the scriptures, great saints and sages performed penance on the banks of river Saraswati, among which Ved Vyas ji did penance in Adibadri and Bilaspur Shringi Rishi in Sanghor villages, Galav Rishi in Guldehra, Vishwamitra in Pehwa in the same place. Like Netaji also on the banks of Saraswati Did penance.॒Dhooman Singh told that it is the plan of Saraswati Board to build a very beautiful ghat on the banks of Saraswati, which will soon be implemented by the government.
