The SGPC will set up a Corona screening camp on November 14 and 15 for pilgrims going to Pakistan

AMRITSAR: On the occasion of Guru Nanak's birth anniversary, a camp will be organized by the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee on November 14 and 15 for the corona test of the pilgrims going to Pakistan to visit Gurdwara Sri Nankana Sahib and other shrines.

The camp would be held at Teja Singh Samundari Hall, the headquarters of the SGPC here in collaboration with the Health Department.
This time on the occasion of Prakash Purab of the first Guru, a group of Sikh pilgrims will leave for Pakistan on November 17 and will return home on November 26.

SGPC President Bibi Jagir Kaur in a press statement issued from the office of the Shiromani Committee said that the birth anniversary of the first Guru on November 19 is being celebrated with devotion and respect in the country and abroad.

She said that in addition to the corona vaccination, a 72-hour advance report of corona is mandatory for pilgrims going to Pakistan. Accordingly, the Shiromani Committee has arranged corona test for the pilgrims.

Bibi Jagir Kaur said that the camp for corona test would continue from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on November 14 and 15 at the SGPC office in collaboration with the health department. 

She said that the pilgrims who have applied for visas to visit the shrines of Pakistan should come to this camp to get their corona tested.
She also said that pilgrims who want to undergo corona test on their own should bring a report 72 hours before their departure for Pakistan on November 17.

Meanwhile, Akhand Path Guru Granth Sahib will begin on November 17 at Gurdwara Sri Nankana Sahib and its bhog will take place on November 19.
