AMRITSAR: The entire Panth can see through the crocodile tears shed by Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) president Harmeet Singh Kalka and other state-sponsored agents over the martyrdom of Jathedar Gurdev Singh Kaunke just when elections are round the corner.

In a statement here today Delhi Akali chief Paramjit Singh Sarna said.

The Panthak leader dismissed the commemoration ceremony hosted by Kalka and his group as a political stunt aimed at weakening the original Akali brotherhood.

He questioned the moral standing of Kalka, his group and other turban-wearing state agents when none of them ever had any Panthak accomplishment to their credit.

“Where were these people all these years?” wondered Sarna. “When you look at their track-record, you’d notice that they come out of their shells overnight whenever ordered to weaken the Akali brotherhood. None of them ever even visited Jathedar Kaunke’s family in the aftermath of his custodial assassination.”

The Delhi Akali chief reminded Kalka that when he was a child, Akali stalwarts Parkash Singh Badal and Gurcharan Singh Tohra made frequent visits to Jathedar Kaunke’s home when he was reported to have gone missing.

To get the facts straight, S Paramjit Singh Sarna also added that S Parkash Singh Badal staged dharna to ensure justice for Bhai Kaunke. He was jailed also for leading the protest, the News clipping of these instances are in public doman. And if, Kalka and his gang need them, I can send them the newspapers, said Sarna, adding that, “Let me reiterate that this anti-panthic Kalka and his gang won’t be able to mislead the panth anymore.”

“Kalka’s sole agenda is to help his saffron masters in their attempts to break up the Panth. He’s only seen hosting events for them. It’s unfortunate that he turned Jathedar Kaunke’s martyrdom into a political stunt, ” Sarna said.
