Rural Development Minister Tript Bajwa releases ‘ Malwa Sarpanch Directory’

CHANDIGARH:: The Rural Development & Panchayat Minister Mr. Tript Rajinder Singh Bajwa today released the ‘ Malwa Sarpanch Directory’ here at Punjab Bhawan. The Directory provides the detail of 7 districts of Malwa region which include information of Sarpanches with photographs, Mobile Number, Police Station and Vidhan Sabha Constituency. This directory has been prepared by prominent social worker Mr. Gora Sandhu Khurd.

On the occasion the Rural Development Minister also announced that the rural development department would soon launch an online directory providing details of all the Zila Parishid Members, Block Samiti Members, Sarpanches and Panches of the state. He directed the officials to launch this online directory as soon as possible.

Lauding the efforts of the Gora Sandhi the Minister said that he should try to compile details of all the sarpanches of the state in the next edition of this directory.

Editor the directory Mr. Gora Sandhu said that this directory includes information about sarpanches of district Sangrur, Sri Muktsar Sahib, Faridkot, Bathinda, Barnala, Moga and Mansa. He said that the directory would be very useful in connecting the people of these 7 district villages and in case of any emergency or need the directory would be very useful.

Other prominent present on the occasion included Mr. Kuljit Singh Nagra Advisor to CM, Mr. Nathu Ram MLA, Mr. Darshan Lal Mangupur, Mrs Seema Jain Principal Secretary Rural Development and Mrs Tanu kayshayap.
