Road, rail traffic reamined disrupted during Punjab bandh call by Ravidassia community

PHAGWARA: Road and Rail Traffic remained disrupted badly and  Punjab Bandh call given by Ravidassiya Community against Supreme Court's order to demolish Ravi Dass Mandir in Tuglkabad in Delhi remained completely successful on Tuesday.
The Protesters belonging to Ravidassiya Community blocked vehicular traffic at Sugar Mills Chowk on Nation High Ways amidst slogans against the Union Government. The protesters burnt effigies of Union Government at Phagwara. No bus could be seen plying on the roads today.almost all shops and commercial establishments remained closed today.
Senior Superintendent of the Police Satinder Singh was camping at Phagwara and monitoring the situation since last night.
Meanwhile the Railways have terminated all Punjab bounds train at Ambala. Railway Sources told this correspondent here today that  Mumbai bound 11058 DN Dadar Express train was stopped at Jalandhar Cantt at 10.15AM,   Delhi bound 22430 DN Pathankot-Delhi Express was stopped at Kartarpur since morning.
 Railway Sources told that Amritsar bound 64551 train was stopped at Chiherru railway Station at 9.50AM, 12587 DN Gorakhpur-Jammu Tawi Express was stopped at Phagwara railway station at 9.48AM.It was confirmed by Station Superintendent Gyan Chand while talking to thiscorrespondent today.
He said 15655 Kaumakhiya Dev--Jammu Tawi Express was stopped at Phillaur Railway Station at 10.21 AM, 12471 UP Mumbai-Katra Swaraj Express was stopped at Ludhiana at 9.53AM, 15707 UP Amritsar bound Katihar Express train at Ludhiana railway station at 10.17 AM, 14506 UP Nangal Dam--Amritsar Express train was stopped at Ludhiana at 10.25 AM.
Railway Sources told that 12219 Malwa Express train was stopped at Chabawal, 12029 Shatawadi Express train at Khanna, 12497 Shane-Punjab Express train at Sirhind railway station and 11059 UP Dadar Express train was strandard at Malerkotla since morning. The reports of complete bandh were received from Goraya, Phillaur, Banga, Noormahal, Nakodar, etc.
Several religious political and social leaders belonging to Ravidassiya Community joined the stir which is continued till filing of the reports.
