CHANDIGARH: “The Union Government has taken a right decision in banning the separatist organization Sikhs For Justice and the decision has only seconded the stand of the Chief Minister, Punjab, Captain Amarinder Singh that such dens of terror needed to be strictly proceeded against.”

Disclosing this in a press communiqué, the Cooperation and Jails Minister S. Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa said that the Chief Minister, Captain Amarinder Singh had for long been demanding the strict action against Sikhs for Justice and banning it should be the only one part of the strategy to tackle terror while the situation warrants going all out against such organizations fuelling terror in Punjab and leading the youth astray.

Demanding from the Union Government the extradition of Sikhs for Justice supremo Gurpatwant Singh Pannu from USA, the minister said that Pannu is wanted in several FIRs registered in Punjab and the latter must be extradited to India to face the law. He advancing his argument also said that Pannu helped the mastermind of the Nabha Jailbreak incident Romy in Hongkong. Besides, the Sikhs for Justice especially Pannu are engaged neck-deep into providing financial and all other kinds of support to the separatist elements in India in order to advance his devious agenda for Referendum 2020 which aims to balkanize the country. The minister further said that Sikhs for Justice is just confined to social media and has no ground support.

S. Randhawa further added that the Punjab Government under the leadership of the Chief Minister, Captain Amarinder Singh, is fully committed to give no quarter to terror elements in the State and has waged all out war on such rogues and terrorists. The State Government has broken the back of the drug suppliers completely which make use of the ill-gotten funds to fuel terror network in Punjab.

Calling for the complete unity on the sensitive issue by rising above the party lines, S. Randhawa said that the Union Government should assist Punjab in fighting terror as it is a border state. He also said that there must be no compromise on the issue of National Security as it is supreme and above all.
