Punjab govt enhances Nabardars honorarium to Rs.2000 per month

CHANDIGARH: Fulfilling the major demand of Nambardars, Punjab Revenue Minister Mr. Gurpreet Singh Kangar today said that the honorarium of Nambardars will be enhanced from Rs.1500 to Rs.2000 per month. The decision has been taken in this regard during a meeting with delegation of various Nambardar Unions, here.

The delegation also apprised the minister about their other demands, which were patiently observed by the minister and assured them that their legitimate demands will be met soon. They also brought to the notice about Nambardars have not been given any dedicated room at Sub Division Offices and District Administrative Complexs, besides the insurance of the Nambardars.

Mr. Kangar said that dedicated rooms for Nambardar's would be constructed in all District Administration Complexs and Sub Division Level Offices in future. He said that in addition to that if Nambardars are ready to construct rooms in the premises of District Administration Complexs and Sub Division Offices on their own expenses, district administration would be directed to allot land to them.
