ROPAR: Punjab BJP President and MLA from Pathankot Ashwani Sharma today stated that Punjab BJP supports the demand of transfer of Chandigarh to Punjab. He was talking to media persons here during his visit to meet party workers.
BJP Chief categorically said that the BJP has a clear stand that Chandigarh belongs to Punjab. He said that the Punjab unit of BJP had always maintained the same stand.
Replying to a question on walk out by BJP MLAs from the Vidhan Sabha before passing of resolution on Chandigarh, Sharma said that he tried to explain his stand to the Speaker but he didn't gave him time to speak. He said that he walked out of protest.
Sharma said that the AAP government led by Bhagwant Mann was misleading the people of Punjab. He said that AAP had made tall promises and the government has no resources to fulfill the political promises. He said that manifestos issued by political parties shall be legal documents. He said that they would approach the Election Commission of India to make the manifesto legal document.
