Mohan Lal Phillauria and Harpool Singh to get

JALANDHAR:Noted Punjabi short story writer Mohan Lal Philauria will be honored with ‘Kewal Vig Award’ of the year 2019 for his dedicated, devoted and sincere contributions in painting vivid pictures of Caste inequality in his stories as Best Writer and Harphool Singh, who penned down so many Gazals and songs in Punjabi literature, will be honored as Best Poet respectively.

Mohan Lal Phillauria writer of five books with greater conviction and aggression, who is dedicated to present actual situation of the Dalits. His works put together true-life experiences, whose anthology of short stories “Mochi da Put” trails the lives of cobblers, whose generations are condemned to abject poverty. Harpool Singh’s Gazals are sung by so many singers, he has written two books of Gazals. Both will be citations, momentos and shawls for their exemplary contributions.

In a press release, Jatinder Mohan Vig, Chairman of Kewal Vig Foundation said that Kewal Vig Memorial Award was instituted since 1994, in the memory of late Kewal Vig, founder editor of Punjabi magazine ‘Janta Sansar’. On every death anniversary of Late Mr. Kewal Vig, these awards presented. The presentation ceremony of this year will be held on 4th December, 2019 at Desh Bhagat Yadgar Hall, Near B.M.C. Chowk, Jalandhar City. It is mentioned that 55 personalities of Literature had already been receipents of this award so far.

S.Iqbal Preet Singh Sahota, D.G.P. Armed Battalions, Pb. will be the Chief Guest. S. Kulwant Singh, IAS, ADC Jalandhar, Ramesh Chander, Ambassador-IFS (Retd.), Harsimranjeet Singh Bunty Deputy Mayor, Jalandhar, S. Chetan Singh Director Language Deptt. Pb, (Retd), S. Rachhpal Singh Pal Punjabi Poet (Rafi on Punjab) will be the special Guest of Honour.
