Five new COVID-19 cases surface in Mohali

MOHALI: After a gap of two days five new COVID-19 positive cases have surfaced in the district, informed Girish Dayalan Deputy Commissioner Mohali.

The new positive cases include one male aged 40 and one female aged 28 from Naggal Salempur in Banur.  The female is a pregnant lady who has been found positive during the prenatal check-up.

There are two positive cases in Baltana that of a fifty years old female and her twenty-one years old son. Another case that surfaced today is that of a class IV male employee working at health centre, Dhakoli.

With the detection of new cases, the total cases in the district amount to 116 while the tally of active cases moves up to 15.
Extensive sampling is on; as of now 6050 samples have been taken in the district.
