JALANDHAR:With its state of art infrastructure government, primary school at village Mustafapur near Kartarpur has emerged as a lighthouse for imparting quality education to the students for ensuring their overall development of personality.

The well-maintained school with its eye-catching infrastructure distinguishes it from the other schools in the region. The aesthetically painted walls of the schools not only have slogans imprinted on it but the basics of maths, English and Punjabi have been colorfully displayed so that students could be made to understand these basics effectively and simply. Not only has this but in order to inculcate reading habits amongst the students from the tender age, the teachers have made a separate Reading Room where books as per the interests of the primary students have been kept.

Students from the primary classes are made to visit and spend time in the reading room once in a day so that they could go through these books. The teachers of the school  Palwinder Kaur and  Gurvinder Kaur had been laying thrust on ensuring the holistic development of the students coming in the school. Not only focus was laid on ensuring hygienically cooked food to the students under the Mid Day Meal scheme but the teachers with the support of the villagers and the NRIs have ensured colorful and quality furniture for the students along with proper uniform the students in summer and winter season.

Likewise, the morning assembly was organized by the teachers and the students recite their prayers with drum and band, to ensure that students could excel not only in education but in co-curricular fields too. Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar Varinder Kumar Sharma, who had recently visited the school, said that efforts would be made to replicate the model of the school in other parts of the district too. Assuring fulsome support and cooperation to the teachers,   Sharma has said that no stone would be left unturned for this noble cause. He also lauded the role played by teachers, villagers and NRIs to give facelift to the school, which he envisioned would soon emerge as a hub of quality education in the region
