NAWANSHAHR:District Magistrate, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar district, Dr. Shena Aggarwal has declared Rahon's Jain Street as Containment Zone and Mohalla Ronta in the town as Micro Containment Zone. The decision was taken to prevent the spread of the corna virus in these areas following the detection of as many as 28 Corona positive cases, mostly related to close contacts, last evening.
Dr.Agarwal said that the containment plan and advisory issued by the government and the health department in these two areas would remain in force, under which the said areas would remain completely sealed.
People's activities will be completely stopped. Schools, offices will remain closed and gatherings will be completely banned. Vehicles other than government and medical vehicles will be banned from operating in these areas. The health department will conduct a door-to-door survey of Covid-19 in the area and compile a list of people who have come in contact with positive patients. Suspected cases of Covid-19 will be home quarantined in these areas. The supply of essential items and medical facilities will continue in these areas.
She said that besides this, all the necessary action would be taken as per the recommendations of the District Planning Committee constituted on July 3 to plan and implement the activities in the Containment Zone and Buffer Zone.
