AMRITSAR: Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP} candidate Taranjit Singh Sandhu Samundari has declared a massive war against drug addiction, adopting moderation and zero tolerance. They aimed to work together to make Amritsar drug free.
He said that the services of expert doctors as well as effective foreign medicines will also be used to relieve the youth from drug addiction. It is also promised to free the youth from the influence of drugs and provide them with good education, good jobs and employment and provide them with a respectable life in the society. He has also assured to take strict action against the elements involved in the drug trade.
Sandhu shared a video on her official Facebook account and told the people of Amritsar that during the election campaign, she met her sisters and mothers in villages and cities. is not Or they fear that drugs may come to their homes. Sandhu said that now is the time to openly talk about its seriousness and work together to make Amritsar drug free.
Sandhu said that there are many ways in which we can protect our children from drug addiction. At present, the medicines given to them are sold in black. The medicines they take do not improve their condition but worsen it.
He drew attention to the drugs currently being used by foreign countries in this regard. He gave the example of America and said that the best doctor there is Rahul Gupta, he is from our Punjab and he is ready to help us in this matter.
He said that in America there are two types of drugs for the treatment of drug addiction, one is given in the nose and the other is given by injection. He said that I will bring both medicines to Amritsar and distribute them free.
Targeting drug dealers and those who give them shelter, he raised the question that where does this drug come from and who delivers it to people? He said that strict action has been taken since the NIA started the investigation in this regard. Big people are being caught in this business. He said, I promise the people of Amritsar that the Government of India and NIA and other agencies will go to the root of it. Anyone who is associated with drug dealers or helps them in any way will be arrested and imprisoned.
He said that people involved in drug addiction are ruining our future generation. This is causing a lot of trouble to our sisters and mothers at home.
Sandhu said that currently such technology has come to India. The use of which will prevent the smuggling of drugs through drones on the border.
He expressed regret and said that no matter how many governments came, made false promises, our problems did not reduce. He became emotional and said that I feel very sad when I meet my mother and sisters, they say that they have small children and their husbands have died due to drug addiction. They are also worried about their children. Because of this, many parents are sending their children abroad to protect them from drug addiction. So I declare war on drugs. I promise you that firstly we will stop cross-border smuggling in many ways, arrest those who help in such activities and thirdly, we will bring medicines from abroad for proper treatment and distribute them here for free. After this, under 'Make in India', we will also manufacture these medicines in Amritsar. Many people from our community who are sitting in America, doctors and experts are ready to help us in this work. The most important thing is that we will not throw drug addicts out of society. We will arrange jobs for those who want to open their start-up and bring money to them. Our effort will be to put these children on their feet and give them a chance for a dignified life again. Their education should be in good colleges, good universities. Children who have to go abroad to get a degree, they will get the same degree and success here. We will also provide scholarships to children. In this way, we will fight a comprehensive battle against drug addiction till victory.
Finally, Sandhu Samundari said that I have felt the pain of drug-affected families. The treatment is drug addiction. We will fight a comprehensive war against addiction with determination and unity. In which we all will surely win.
