Banks To provide loans of Rs 8.25 Crore for self employment to beneficiaries dedicated to 400 year Prakash Purab: Chairman

KAPURTHALA: Mohan Lal Sood , Chairman, Punjab Scheduled Castes, Land Development and Finance Corporation said that to establish self employment for the beneficiaries of Scheduled Castes dedicated to 400 Prakash Purab of Guru Teg Bahadur ji , a subsidy of Rs 1.5 crore has been released for the purpose, with which various banks would provide Rs 8.25 crore loans to the applicants.

The Chairman today distributed sanction letters of subsidy of Rs. 2.80 lakh to 28 beneficiaries of Scheduled Castes of District Kapurthala and this subsidy has been released to the banks. Besides, subsidy of Rs 3.30 lakh in 33 cases would be released to the banks soon.

Addressing the beneficiaries, he said that the Punjab government has directed the revenue departments to transfer the ownership of the property within the red line to the benefit of the people living in the villages. This will not pose any problem in securing collateral for the beneficiaries of Scheduled Castes.

Dr. Ram Lal Jassi Vice Chairman, Asok Kumar District Manager, Kapurthala, Lakhwinder Singh District Social Justice Officer and other staff members were also present on the occasion.
