AMRITSAR: A sixty year old lady identified Jaspal Kaur dies of Corona here today. She was resident of village Bunala of Baba Bakala town around 35 kilometers away from Amritsar.
Official said that she was detected COVID positive from a authorized private laboratory, subsequently referred to Guru Nanak Dev Hospital on May 27th in the afternoon, a known case of Hypertension with COVID with Old Cerebellar Infarct. On her arrival, she was unconscious and in a very critical condition. She was put on Oxygen and treatment was initiated as per her condition. Her condition deteriorated around 12.30 PM today and she was immediately intubated and put on Ventilator support. She could not be saved despite best efforts and was declared dead at 1.40 PM today, said medical staff on duty.
However, today 9 fresh positive cases were reported in the district. Present count of 48 positive cases in the Government hospital.
