Punjab BJP chief Jakhar urges EC to investigate 25 crore offer allegations by two AAP MLA's

CHANDIGARH, MARCH 28: Even as he sought a probe into the AAP-sponsored hooliganism and threats to Member Parliament Jalandhar Sushil Kumar Rinku and MLA Jalandhar West Sheetal Angural, the Punjab BJP President Sunil Jakhar on Thursday urged the Election Commission to deeply probe Rs. 25-crore-offer allegations made by two AAP legislators and bring out truth before people of Punjab.

Those who are facing FIRs under section 420 for swindling small amounts from people of their constituency and have even publicly doubted their parentage are desperately trying to project themselves as worth Rs. 25-crores, Jakhar quipped in reference to wild claims of 2 AAP MLAs.

"Truth must come out and I would urge the Commission to investigate and ascertain before people of Punjab as to who made the offer and who got the money, " Jakhar said underlining that falsehood and corruption of Kejriwal's kattar imaandaars have been fully exposed and there is no place to hide.

Jakhar addressed a press conference here at the State BJP Headquarter this afternoon after the Party's Core Committee Meeting along with Punjab Incharge former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani.

During the press conference, the Punjab BJP President was also accompanied by MPs Preneet Kaur, Sushil Kumar Rinku, and MLA Sheetal Angural. Asking all Core Committee Members and District in-chrages to take the message of development of Prime Minister Modi to every home, Jakhar asked them to contribute their next 2 months to ensure BJP wins all 13 seats handsomely.

Replying to a media query, Jakhar said ED has been consistently working to bring blatant acts of omission and commission perpetrated by Kejriwal and his chosen ones on the future of Punjab and Punjabis. The Excise Scam and then Guava Orchards Scandal, Punjab leaders at the behest of Kejriwal have committed corruption of Punjab's resources with impunity, Jakhar said adding that no one found involved in looting the state would be spared.

Slamming the language used by AAP leaders against MP Rinku and MLA Angural, state BJP President said this reeks of their frustration at leaders and people from all parties trusting the development agenda of BJP under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership and command. BJP is committed to ensure India's onward rise through growth and development and 140-crore Indians are fully conscious of incremental successes India has had in the last 10 years under PM Modi, he added.

Extending his congratulations to Bhagwant Mann and his wife Dr. Gurpreet Kaur on birth of their daughter, Jakhar said he prays to Waheguru to bless the new born and family.

Today in the presence of Jakhar, Rakesh Kumar SAD (Badal) candidate from Bhoa Assembly in 2022 joined BJP along with his supporters joined BJP. He was accompanied by District President Pathankot BJP Vijay Sharma.
