NAWANSHAHR: Expressing solidarity with the residents of flood affected areas, MLA Balachaur , Ch. Darshan Lal Mangupur , has contributed his one month salary to Punjab CM Relief Fund. He also urged his supporters and sympathisers to do so to bail out the residents of affected areas from the tragedy.
Terming the situation as difficult , MLA Mangupur said that floods had made the lives of Ropar, Jalandhar, Kapurthala and Ferozpur residents miserbale. In this hour of crisis , all should definitely pour generuosly some kind of help to the CM Relief Fund, he said.
Applauding the efforts of Chief Minister , Captain Amarinder Singh , who has been taking stock of the ground situation, Darshan Lal Mangupur added that it would definitely boost the relief , rescue and repair works. He also expressed gratitude to the ministers of state to monitor the relief and restoration works in person.
He expressed hope that as Punjabis known for their generosity worldwide, would help their brothern surely. He specially thanked the social and religious orgainisations which are actively cooperating with the state in flood relief.
