Ajaib singh bhatti thanks malout constituency residents for making guru nanak utsav a success

CHANDIGARH:Deputy Speaker congratulates government departments for making the event memorable....Punjab Vidhan Sabha Deputy Speaker Mr. Ajaib Singh Bhatti today expressed gratitude to the residents of Malout constituency for making the 'Guru Nanak Utsav' dedicated to the 550th Prakash Prub of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji a success. Notably, the mega event was organized at Malout grain market on November 27.
Mr. Bhatti said that the purpose of the event was to connect the people especially the youngsters with the invaluable teachings and message of peace, universal brotherhood preached by Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. During the Utsav, the school students' elocution competition was also conducted and their interest and knowledge about Guru Sahib's philosophy and teachings was astonshing, he added.
He said that the Guru Sahib formalised three basic guidelines for Sikhs; 'Kirat Karo, Naam Japo and Vand Shako', which are the key mantra for a successful and contented life even today.
Mr. Bhatti also congratulated the District Administration Sri. Muktsar Sahib, North Zone Cultural Center, Tourism and Cultural Affairs Department, Punjab Sangeet Natak Akademi for making the event a big success and memorable.
Mr. Bhatti said, 'we all are very fortunate and privileged who had the opportunity to witness the 550th Prakash Purb celebrations.'' He said that the Punjab government had organized magnificent events at Sultanpur Lodhi and Dera Baba Nanak, and light & sound shows and Digital Museum shows are being organised in every district of the state to commemorate the 550th Prakash Purb at large scale, which was a very commendable initiative of the state government. Keeping in view of the message of Guru Sahib's 'Pawan Guru Paani Pita Maata Dharat Mahat', 550 saplings are being  planted in every village of the state, which is an important and much needed step  for environment protection, Mr. Bhatti said.
Mr. Ajaib Singh Bhatti said that 13 tricycles, 13 sewing machines, 13 blankets, 13 school bags had been distributed to the needy persons on the basis of Guru Nanak Dev ji' 13-13 (Terah-Terah) concept. He also thanked the punjabi singer Balkar Sidhu and Sufi Singer Mamta Joshi, who had  paid musical tribute to Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji during the Nanak Utsav.
