Senior officials from the National Health Authority visited various hospitals in Mohali.

MOHALI: Senior officials from the National Health Authority recently undertook a comprehensive visit to various hospitals across Mohali district, empanelled under the Ayushman Bharat Mukh Mantri Sehat Bima Yojana. Spearheaded by esteemed IAS Officer Dr. Basant Garg ACEO, NHA, this delegation included key figures such as Ms Babita, Chief Executive Officer from the State Health Agency Punjab, alongside other notable health department officials.

During the visit, Dr. Basant Garg and his team meticulously inspected the facilities and services offered at the hospitals enlisted under this pivotal scheme. Emphasizing the imperative of extending healthcare access to all eligible beneficiaries, Dr. Garg highlighted that in Punjab alone, over 44 lakh families receive the invaluable benefit of up to 5 lakh worth of free treatment annually. He earnestly urged all eligible individuals to promptly obtain their health cards.

It's noteworthy that the Ayushman Bharat Mukh Mantri Sehat Bima Yojana in Punjab extends its coverage to a diverse range of beneficiaries, including ration card holder families, farmers, laborers, small traders, and journalists. Across a network of over 700 empanelled private and government hospitals, these beneficiaries receive essential healthcare services free of charge, ensuring a robust safety net for the community.
