Ludhiana health authorities conduct 23705 throad swab tests under Mission Fateh

PHILLAUR: As part of ‘Mission Fateh’ program launched by the Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, the district administration has conducted 23705 throat swab tests so far.

Divulging the details, the Civil Surgeon Dr. Gurinder Chawla and Medical Superintendent of Civil Hospital Dr. Harinder Singh said that in order to check the Covid-19 pandemic, the Health department was aggressively conducting tests to trace the Covid-19 patients in the district adding that the Jalandhar administration has so far conducted 23705 Throat Swab Test of the suspected patients in the district.

They said that samples of 21748 persons have been found negative whereas 949 were still pending.

They said that the Health department was making strenuous efforts to check the pandemic in the district and no stone would be left unturned for this noble cause.

The Civil Surgeon and Medical Superintendent said that these tests were being done continuously to check the spread of the Corona Virus in the district.

They said that the Health teams were aggressively conducting these tests adding that no stone was being left unturned for making Jalandhar a Corona free district.

The Civil Surgeon and Medical Superintendent said that till now around 11256 persons were home quarantined by the Health authorities for being in contact with the Corona positive persons.

 They said that out of these 10155 people have successfully completed their Home quarantine period of 14 days. Both the officers said that still quarantine period of another 1101 persons were active.
