Congress Government in Punjab stopped all welfare schemes: Shah

AMRITSAR: Keeping in mind  Parliament Elections, BJP National President Amit Shah here today launched scathing attack on Congress Government led by Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh,   blamed them for stopping all welfare schemes which were initiated during the ten years period Government of SAD/BJP in Punjab.

Before addressing the gathering here, Amit Shah who alongwith party workers observed two minutes silence in mark of respect of departed  souls of 40 CRPF jawans who had lost lives during terror attack in Pulwma at J&K.

Addressing the gathering of state level BJP leaders from Punjab and Haryana ( Karaya Karta Samelan) said party has great respect for the four jawans from Punjab who were killed in Pulwama terror attack. He said in these hours of grief,    each party activist was with the grief stricken family. He said bloodshed of these 40Jawans wouldn’t be ignored as BJP Government would teach befitted lesson to these terrorists.

 Talking about Punjab, he said this land belonged to Saints, warriors, Gurus and rivers where he got privileged to come here.

Appreciating the farmers of Punjab, he said farmer’s community always stood with the nation, since the land of Punjab always remained food bank for the nation due to the hard efforts of farmers from here. He also praised people  of Punjab for guarding the international borer.

Appreciated the previous SAD/BJP ten year rule in Punjab said that the heritage street  approaching passage to world famous Golden Temple and developing Ram Tirath Temple with state of Art infrastructure.

 Making verbal attack  at Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amrinder Singh, he alleged that CM in Punjab was not serving the people here but   ruling like Rajas or Mahrajas.

He lamented Punjab CM for not fulfilling  his promises made during the last general assembly elections, said still unemployment allowance, seventh pay commission to state employees and employment to one of the family member in Punjab were at distant dream.

He also accused the Amarinder Singh for not writing off loan of farmers besides eradicating drug menace in Punjab.

He asked the party workers and leaders to pull up socks not for three seats rather for all the thirteen Parliament seats in Punjab. He said that nation has decided to choose Narindra Modi as their next PM.

Talking about Kartarpur Corridor, Shah said that Congress Minister Navjot Singh Sidhu now batting for corridors who hardly knew about the facts    that due to Congress leadership the site of Gurdwara Kartarpur Shaib was not included in India and it was Modi who took initiative for the Corridor.

Coming to Anti Sikh riots which occurred in 1984, Shah said that victims were turning pillar to Post for justice but with the initiative of Modi Government accused were thrown behind the bars and victims were disbursed compensation for which they were struggling since 1984. Since it was Modi Govt which had setup SIT.

On this occasion former IPS officer and ADGP R.P. Mittal and former chairman of Public Service Commission lieutenant   General Manjinder joined the BJP party in the presence of Shah.

Earlier, hoardings carrying the photo of BJP leader and former cabinet minister Anil Joshi were either torn or removed from the venue allegedly due to some differences with the State President Shwait Malik, claimed close associate of Joshi.
