Taxi Driver from Phillaur in Punjab found dead in his car in McLeodganj, Dharamsala

DHARAMSALA: Sandeep Kumar, a taxi driver hailing from Phillaur, Jalandhar was found dead in his parked vehicle at a local parking area of McLeodganj, Dharamsala, today.

Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Vir Bhadur confirmed the news, stating that Kumar had arrived in McLeodganj with passengers and chose to rest in his taxi. Concerns arose when Kumar did not respond after numerous attempts to wake him. This prompted a call to the McLeodganj police for assistance.

Upon arrival, law enforcement officials were compelled to forcibly open the vehicle, where they found Kumar unresponsive. Preliminary investigations suggest the driver passed away in his sleep, though the exact cause of death awaits further examination.

The police have since notified Kumar's family of the tragic event. It is said that after a post-mortem examination tomorrow will ascertain the actual cause of death, after which the body will be released to the relatives for the last rites.
