PHAGWARA: One Youth (Student of LPU Phagwara) sustained serious bullet injuries in firing while three youths got minor injuries during violent clash between two groups of students of LPU Phagwara at law gate near LPU Phagwara in wee hours today.
All four injured were brought to civil hospital Phagwara, but one serious injured Satyam Panwar(21) resident of Noida was referred to Jalandhar hospital.
Chief Medical Officer Dr Lehimber Ram said the other three including Yash Rathi, Adarsh Tripathi and Prikshit were discharged after giving first aid.
The Superintendent of the Police Rupinder Kaur Bhatti rushed to the spot around 4AM today.
As per reports said the injured Satyam Panwar LPU Student now residing at PG Law Gate LPU Phagwara along with his other companions was roaming at law Gate near LPU Phagwara, when Bihar migrant One Jai Muni Ratnam (25)(Rusticated student from LPU Phagwara) LPU Phagwara along with 03 unknown youths came there on a motorcycle and quarrelled with Satyam Panwar and opened firing on him .
He sustained bullet injuries in his stomach (right side) and right arm.
The assailant Jai Muni Ratnam fled away from the spot.
Nearby people took him to Civil Hospital Phagwara where doctors reffred him to Jalandhar.
Two companions of attacker Jai Muni Ratnam also got minor injuries who were identified as Prikishat Rana (BBA LLB- IV Semester) R/o Karnal Haryana, Adarsh Tripathi (BBA LLB- IV Semester) R/o Madhya Pardesh.
One more youth Yash Rathi also sustained injuries all three youths were admitted at Civil Hospital Phagwara, but were discharged after giving them first aid, said CMO DR Lehimber Ram.
SP Phagwara Rupinder Kaur Bhatti along with police force reached on the spot and recovered 02 shells of cartridges.
Four Youths including Prikshit and Adarsh were taken into custody for further investigation.Further details are awaited.
