Khalsa College of Education Champion in GNDU Inter-Colleges Festival

AMRITSAR:The Khalsa College of Education, Ranjit Avenue, Amritsar emerged as Champion in the three-day-long Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU) Inter-Education Colleges Youth Festival-2019 which concluded at Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar. Khalsa College of Education, GT Road was second and Government College was third in the event that was marked by the cultural bonanza involving dance and music.
 
Hundreds of students from approximately 24  Education colleges across the region took part in the festival in which  Khalsa lifted the overall Championship Trophy for the successive 8th time, said Principal Dr. Surinderpal Kaur Dhillon. She thanked the management and staff for the outstanding performances of the various teams which resulted in the winning of the championship for the record times.
 
Khalsa College Governing Council Honorary Secretary, Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina hailed the performance of students for the record win. "Such programs provide platform to the students to showcase their talents in diverse fields of art", said Chhina.
 
The students showcased their talent in singing, fancy dress, mimicry, skits, debates, discussions, kawishri, group shabad gayan, poetry, painting, rangoli and cartooning. The Bhangra and Gidda remained the star attractions of the festival.  
 
GNDU Dean Dr. Amit Kauts, Coordinator of the festival Dr. Ajaybir Pal Singh Dhillon, GNDU Director, Youth Dr. Baljit Singh Sekhon were present.
