NAKODAR: The Nakodar city police have booked a Jalandhar resident on the charge of rape and criminal intimidation.
The investigating officer (IO) Inspector Bhupindar Kaur said that the accused has been identified as Sachin Kumar a resident of house no.11, Durga Colony , backside HMV college Jalandhar.
The victim complained to the police that the accused took her to a mansion at Nakodar and gave her cold drink mixed with an intoxicant substance and raped her and threatened her with dire consequences.
IO said a case under sections 376(rape) and 328(causing hurt by means of poison) and 506(criminal intimidation) has been registered against the accused.
