Four Shops Burgled in One Night in Phagwara

PHAGWARA: In a spree of burglaries in Phagwara in wee hours today, Four Shops were reportedly burgled in one night last night. As per reports shutters of these shops situated at Cinema Road and Hoshiarpur Road were found broken badly in wee hours today. In first incident HS Mobile Shop was reportedly burgled near GRD College on Phagwara---Hoshiarpur road last night.

Sanjeev Kumar Mobile Shop Owner told the police that he was informed by a known person around 4AM today that the shutters of his shop were found broken when he rushed to his shop and entered in the shop he noticed his shop was badly ransacked and valuable goods including dozens of old and new smart mobile phones and laptop besides cash of thousands of rupees were stolen. The Burglars broke CCTV before leaving his shop. Loss of more than Rs Four Lac was being estimated. The Police has been informed.

Meanwhile shutters of three shops including Batra Shoes, Surindra Garments and Uppal Sweets were found broken at cinema road in Phagwara in wee hours today.

Harmeet Singh(Batra Shoes), Jugal Kishore(Surindra Garments) and Vikky Uppal(Uppal Sweets) told the police that the burglars entered in their respective shops after breaking shutters and took away valuable goods of thousands of rupees after ransacking the shops and breaking CCTVs. The Victims have informed the police.
