RGNUL, SS Rana & Co. sign MoU on intellectual property cooperation

PATIALA: Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL) and S.S Rana & Co. have inked a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) aimed at fostering collaborative efforts in the realm of intellectual property rights (IPR) education and research.

The MOU, signed by RGNUL's Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Professor (Dr.) Jai S. Singh, and S.S. Rana & Co.'s Managing Associate, Mr. Dhruv Mathur, marks a pivotal moment in advancing expertise and opportunities in the field. The MoU aims at increasing IP co-operation between the two by way of:
• Development of certificate and diploma programs with IPR specialization.
• Facilitate student internships
• Serving as platforms of intellectual exchange by way of joint seminars, conferences and workshops.
• Collaborative Research & Development programs between RGNUL faculty and experts from SS Rana & Co.
Speaking on the occasion, Professor (Dr.) Jai S. Singh expressed optimism about the transformative potential of the partnership, emphasizing its role in nurturing talent and fostering innovation in the field of intellectual property. Mr. Dhruv Mathur echoed these sentiments, underscoring the importance of synergistic collaborations in driving meaningful progress and development.
The two sides will draw up a Work Plan to implement the MoU which will include the detailed planning for carrying out of the co-operation activities including the scope of action. The MOU also underscores a commitment and heralds a new chapter in intellectual property education and engagement, laying the groundwork for fruitful collaborations and advancements in the field.
